The Ancient Fish is the last discovery in the original Skies of Arcadia.
Information[]
A species of fish that was believed to have been extinct millions of years ago. Its vestigial gills and fins that look like hands and feet seem to point to an evolutionary path from the waters to the dry land, and then to the skies.
Location[]
Go South of the Dark Rift. It is located almost directly under the large island which harbours the Giant Squid Nest. The fish is found in the lower sky, under the western end of the isle. Reach the island descend into lower sky and go west, the Fish moves in a small circle. It is the only discovery that can be "caught" and sold.

- The Sailors' Guild does not have the information (location) about this discovery.
- The number of discoveries is extended after this one in the GameCube version remake, Legends.
- This fish is modelled after the Coelacanth.
