Basallish monster line

The Basallish and Baroo are a species of monsters. These enemies, resembling plump rodents with large floppy ears, are palette swaps of each other with varying levels of strength and are fought in different locations in the game. This monster line is Red-affiliated.

A Basallish (レイチア Reichia) is a blue variant.

In-battle, the Basallish can use the following battle command:

• Attack: A standard physical attack.
• Run: This monster has the ability to try and run away, thereby removing it from the battle if successful. This ability removes the monster in a way that doesn't count as a kill (the party will not gain any EXP or Gold).

When defeated, Basallishs yield 23 EXP, 24 Gold and have a 1% chance of dropping a Pyri Box. Basallishs are fought in the Valua Catacombs.

The Basallish is not very notable among the monsters it is fought alongside, being far outclassed in each stat by other monsters in the Catacombs, namely the Mind Stealer and Crylhound.

A Baroo (パラミス Paramisu) is a brown variant.

In-battle, the Baroo can use the following battle command:

• Attack: A standard physical attack.
• Run: This monster has the ability to try and run away, thereby removing it from the battle if successful. This ability removes the monster in a way that doesn't count as a kill (the party will not gain any EXP or Gold).

When defeated, Baroos yield 143 EXP, 98 Gold and have a 1% chance of dropping a Pyrum Box. Baroos are fought in Daccat's Island.

The Baroo is the fastest enemy on Daccat's Island, but is outclassed by the other monsters in every other category. While they may be fast enough to get in a hit or two when fighting against Vyse and Gilder, Aika and Fina should have no problem outspeeding them.
