The Mind Stealer and Death’s Head are a species of monsters. These enemies, resembling male humans possessed by a large insect-like creatures, are palette swaps of each other, with varying levels of strength and are fought in different locations in the game. Both variants in this monster line are Green-affiliated and are fought in the earlier stages of the game.

A Mind Stealer (カイライ Kairai) is a green variant.
In-battle, the Mind Stealer only have one battle command:
- Attack: A physical attack that has a chance of inflicting poison on the target.
When defeated, Mind Stealers yield 52 EXP, 41 Gold and have a 1% chance of dropping a Mace Hand, a weapon for Drachma. They are fought in the Valua Catacombs.
The Mind Stealer is the strongest and most durable monster in the Catacombs, but is slow enough that a well leveled up party can slay them before they get a chance retaliate. They have a very low Magic Defense as well, making magic attacks very effective against them.

A Death's Head (マータ Māta) is a beige variant.
In-battle, the Death's Head can use the following battle commands:
- Attack: A standard physical attack.
- Stone Breath: The monster spits out blobs of grey and brown gunk, damaging a single target with a chance of inflicting stone.
When defeated, Death's Head yield 167 EXP, 90 Gold and have a 5% chance of dropping a Storm Wing, a weapon for Aika. They're fought in the Temple of Pyrynn.
Like its predecessor, Death's Head is the strongest and most durable monster in the Temple of Pyrynn (though its defense is outclassed by the Magma Tiki), but is fairly slow. Be sure to have someone with the Curia spell or some Curia Crystals in case anyone becomes petrified by Stone Breath.
