Rokwyrm

Rokwyrm, the sixth boss of Skies of Arcadia.

The Rokwyrm (ラァス R'asu) is the sixth boss in the game and the boss of the Temple of Pyrynn. It resembles a rocky, serpentine creature and is red-affiliated.

Battle

In battle, Rokwyrm can use the following battle commands:

• Attack: A standard physical attack.
• Cinder Storm: a single-targeting attack that has a chance to Stone; the attack also does a low amount of damage.
• Volcanic Blast: Rokwyrm will summon balls of magma to rise from the lava then sends them crashing down inflicting damage on all party members.

When defeated, the Rokwyrm yields 3,062 EXP, 1,584 Gold and a Rislem Box. The party can then use its corpse to cross over to the room containing the Red Moon Crystal.

Etymology

The name Rokwyrm is a combination of rock and wyrm, an Old English term for a dragon-like creature, especially one that is serpentine.

Trivia

• After defeating Rokwyrm, the player cannot return to Maramba or anywhere else to heal until they have completed two consecutive ship battles: a protracted fight against the red Gigas, Recumen, and another against Belleza's flagship, the Lynx. Both of these battles are lengthy and will require the player to heal, so those who are in poor shape in terms of items should make sure to stock up before defeating Rokwyrm.
