Scorfly monster line

The Scorfly and Scorpon are a species of monsters. These enemies, resembling small winged scorpions, are palette swaps of each other, with varying levels of strength and are fought in different locations in the game. This monster line is Purple-affiliated.

The Scorfly (ユールマラー Yūrumarā) is a yellow variant.

In-battle, the Scorfly only has one battle commands:

• Attack: A physical attack that has a chance of inflicting silence on the target.

When defeated, Scorfly yield 49 EXP, 44 Gold and have a 5% chance of dropping a Revered Voice. They are fought in the airspace around Sailor's Island and Maramba.

Where its first encountered, Scorfly is quite durable and has decent attack power, though its not as fast as the Tsirat. These creatures are very common for the time that they appear, bordering on prolific at times. They also demonstrate a weakness against magic attacks, however, given the creatures ability to silence it's foes, this advantage may be short-lived. In the later Nasr region, they become outclassed by other enemies, namely the Stonebeak, and fade to mere irritants.

The Scorpon (エリュオン Eryuon) is a green variant.

In-battle, the Scorpon only has one battle commands:

• Attack: A physical attack that has a chance of inflicting silence on the target.

When defeated, Scorpons yield 571 EXP, 163 Gold and have a 5% chance of dropping a Revered Voice. They are fought in and around the Valuan airspace regions, sometimes around the edge of the Valuan continent out into the Frontier Lands regions.

In the Valua region, Scorpon is a class match for the Razorbeak, with less HP but higher physical defense, though the rest of its stats are outclassed by other enemies in the area. The same can be said for their appearance in the Frontier Lands, although here they have the highest HP rating among their peers.
